Recreation District One Rental Policy

PURPOSE: To establish rental and use guidelines for facilities within Recreation District One and its boundaries. To establish who will be allowed to rent or use the facility.

THE RULES:

  • Fees are assessed on a per day basis.
  • Proof of residency will be required to qualify for the fees that pertain to Recreation District One residents, renters and/or organizations. A pictured Louisiana Driver’s License will be sufficient.
  • The payment of rental and clean-up fees will be as follows:
  • Rental fees must be paid within seven (7) days after application for rental has been made. If rental fee has not been received at the end of business hours on the seventh day, the reservation will be cancelled.
  • Rental fees will be refunded as follows:
  • All rental fees will be refunded upon receipt of 30 days advance notice of cancellation.
  • One-Half (1/2) of the rental fees will be refunded upon receipt of fifteen (15) days advance notice of cancellation.
  • No rental fees will be returned when cancellation notice is received less than fifteen (15) days of reservation time.
  • Clean-up fees are due when you receive keys for the facility you have reserved. Clean-up fees are to be cash, cashier’s check or money order.
  • * All rentals must be made through and paid at the Multi Purpose Complex.*
  • All request for rentals will be made at the Multi Purpose Complex during normal working hours under the direct supervision of the Director or his appointed designee. Facilities are to be rented on first come, first serve basis.
  • All rentals must be applied for the full description of intended use designated on the application and will be subject to approval by the Director.
  • All fees will be based on Category 1 & 2 fees.


Recreation District One Board of Directors has the final authority and right of refusal on any rental. Only Recreation District One sponsored leagues will have access to the facilities for fund-raisers at no charge. Clean-up will be the responsibility of the league participating in the event. Failure to clean-up will lead to halting this privilege.


Security will be provided for any party or dance held at any facility. For a party or dance involving a group under the average of 17, the group will be required to provide a minimum of three deputized officers if there are any charges for admission. One officer will be in the parking lot, one at the door, and one inside the facility.


For private parties or dances that have no admission, and have participants under the average age of 17, will have one officer that will be required in the parking lot as long as at least one chaperone per every 10 people are maintained within the facility. The chaperone must be over the age of 25.


For private parties or dances that have participants over the average age of 21, one officer will be required to be stationed in the parking lot to watch for car vandals.

 

The Director will have the authority to allow impromptu use of the centers for reasons of interest to the community/district providing it is a public service type of event. A charge will be left up to the discretion of the Director providing no profit can be derived for any group or person using the facility.

 

All clean-up fees will be refunded subject to approval of the Director. If in the opinion of the Director the facility was not sufficiently cleaned up, he has the authority to refuse the refund. If the renter feels it was unjustly kept, they may appeal it to the Board for the final appeal. The Board’s decision will be final.

*If there is a Crawfish Boil then the clean-up fee will be raised to $250.00

No individuals will be allowed to use Recreation Facilities for private gain. Only recognized non-profit organizations will be able to raise funds on Recreation Properties. Organizations allowed to use the facility at no charge will have to furnish the Director with a financial statement within fourteen (14) days, or in default thereof, the organization will be subject to being prohibited from using the facilities again.
